GETTING HERE

Belize City International Airport is just a short non-stop flight away from many North American cities. See more information HERE. You can also find daily flights from Belize to other countries in Central America, such as Guatemala & Mexico. When booking your international flight, we recommend arriving to Belize City no later than 3:45 PM, as the last flight on Maya Island or Tropic Air to Placencia departs at 5:00 PM.

Once in Belize, we recommend taking the 35-minute flight to Placencia, the location of our hotel. Tropic Air and Maya Island Air have multiple daily flights. We will be pleased to book for you.

Belize Ocean Club Adventure Resort is just a 15-minute drive north from Placencia Airport via our transfer service.

If you would prefer to drive from Belize City, you can take the Western Highway towards Belmopan and then turn off left onto the scenic Hummingbird Highway. This route takes you through the lower regions of the Maya Mountains towards Dangriga. Turn off right onto the Southern Highway and look for signs to Placencia. LOCATION

The Belize Ocean Club Adventure Resort is located on the Placencia Peninsula, a verdant, 18-mile long isthmus in southern Belize. Poised near the largest barrier reef in the western hemisphere and near the country’s extensive network of protected areas and parks.

The peninsula of Placencia offers endless options for adventure and relaxation. Go diving or snorkeling along the Barrier Reef, explore mangroves and deserted cayes by kayak, spot birds and wildlife on Monkey River or at Cockscomb Nature Sanctuary, or go sport fishing for tarpon, permit, yellowfin tuna, or king mackerel. Then again, you could just stretch out with your favorite drink on the silky sands of the most spectacular beaches on the Belize mainland, listening to the waves breaking against the shore.

Guests are welcome to use the complimentary scheduled transportation to Placencia village to take in the arts and crafts and enjoy its local flair, culture, bars and restaurants or check out complimentary bikes with the front desk.

Placencia is located on the southeast coast of Belize. Described by travelbelize.org as "the coast with the most" for good reason.

It's the coast with the most
via travelbelize.org

“From the remarkable Maya Mountain Massif views to the golden sandy beaches, Placencia, Hopkins and Dangriga are a true fisherman’s village with strong cultural pride. These eco-tourist regions feature exceptional natural amenities, a signature of pristine Belize.

Plan to spend a few days in these areas, the list of must-stops on the picturesque Hummingbird Highway are countless. Visit the world’s only jaguar preserve “Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary”, or explore National Parks, such as: Mayflower Bocawina and the St. Herman’s Blue Hole.

Water activities are among the best, enjoy kayaking, snorkeling, diving, saltwater fly-fishing, whale shark watching and just about any other “ing” that takes place in the water.”
